my youngest son, "Thing 3," uttered "Grass Oil" to describe what i once made for dinner. what is the Grass Oil blog? my observations about life from my cheap seats where everyone looks like ants. i'm funny, candid and i try to be nice, with some snark for flavor. Grass Oil: simple. random. elegant. there it is. ps – "Things" is a moniker to keep my kids off search engines.
There was a recent aggressive attack WordPress users. It was people launching aggressive botnets to try to hack accounts. You can learn how to avoid this by taking a look at this article here.
Visiting your site after your lovely comment on Renee’s site.
BTW, the attack is still going on. For our WP hosting clients, it’s not noticeable to them. We wrote a plugin to detect the attack and block chunks of the botnet – but without accidentally blocking someone who typo’d their account name or password.
Hi Jay! The thing is, I don’t know what is going on with my site. My numbers are way down despite my picking up followers. Could be that people are offline more, enjoying the spring, much like I am.
Here is is on a nutshell. I am on WordPress. I also have my http://www.mollyfield.com website pointing at the blog.
When I want to share a particular post, I have to use the mollyfielddotcom dot WordPress dot com URL or if wont show. All posts unsung mollyfield.com end up linking to the post, but without a specific designation.
I will admit this: I know nothing about technology in this fashion. I’m not in the dark about all of it, but when it comes to DNS and SEOs and IP this or bloglovin that… My head comes off.
So I’ll likely be joining you tonight.
Thanks for stopping by.
Do it. I’LL BE THERE, TOO. Ooops. Caps lock. Sorry. I’ll be there. And we’ll be good students. We will learn so much. We will be smart students. We will understand everything Jay tells us. Or look pretty trying.
It’s online right? Webcam? Oh dear.
Hi Molly,
We can merge your wordpress.com site and your mollyfield.com sites together and your blog will help your SEO. Yes, it’s all Voodoo. There’s an open Q/A after the class so you can fire away with hosting questions and whatever other tech questions you have – some authors have asked tech questions about stuff they want to describe in their WIPs. 🙂
Yes it’s online. No, there’s no need for a webcam. I don’t use one. You just need a web browser & the flash plugin. A headset is nice so everyone’s audio sounds good.

Jay, I am bummed. I can not do the call tonight. I really want to; I will send you a note under separate cover to discuss your next class.
Jay, thank you for the follow and hello. I’m not always on twitter but I love to write. I am trying not to spend too much time on social media as I find if makes me crazy and sometimes insecure. Deep stuff. Anyhow….
I just reread your first comment, you said “we can merge” what do you mean by that? I thought they already were. As I said, I’m not savvy.
I just wanted to create a custom URL of my own that is easy to remember for that big day WHEN I publish my book.
Answering all this might take more time than you could be comfortable with, so I don’t want you to not be paid for your talent and work.
